ZombieStop Parade (eBook)
One person trying to enlighten the public on the evils of corporatism and the market economy is Corky. Corky has always been fighting against the “philosophy of the market system” but has remained a relative unknown until a mysterious person who calls himself the “Jackal” posts information on his website about a CEO who has sent money overseas to an illegal tax shelter account. Suddenly, Corky and his best friend are thrust into a highly publicized story that brings them everything from newfound fame to an investigation by the FBI. The layout of the book is a bit unique because it is actually the diary of Corky’s best friend ZombieStopperUno. The diary format allows the reader to see how the story progresses over time, and it provides a personal touch by allowing the reader to see into the thoughts and concerns of ZombieStopperUno. However, the diary format can be a bit distracting at points because it bounces around from one aspect of the story to another without warning. Overall, “ZombieStop Parade” provides an interesting look into the flaws of the corporate world and especially the greed in which it is built upon. While the book will appeal mainly to younger audiences, it will also appeal to those who are disenchanted with the current financial predicament that the United States and other capitalist countries are dealing with. However, I feel this book will draw some skepticism from conservatives who typically support a market economy with few regulations. Nevertheless, I feel that “ZombieStop Parade” would be a great read for college students as tool to debate various economic points of view. |
