Arthur Fraser, a travel representative from England, transfers with his work to the island of Sardinia.  Fraser is ready to experience the exotic, strange land that is so very different from his native England.  The year is 1960 and the customs in Sardinia are very strict for women, yet Fraser is determined to win the heart of a Sardinian girl.  However, it can be said instead, that a Sardinian girl won the heart of Arthur Fraser. The book weaves the tale of Fraser and his quest and chronicles the adventures he has while with his small circle of friends he makes while in Sardinia.

The author’s descriptions of Sardinia and the surrounding countryside would make any reader wish to explore it for themselves.  Yet, overall, I did not feel that I was able to get a good sense of who the characters were.  I would have liked more depth into the lives of each character, rather than the small snapshot that was given.  It seems the story was in a hurry to finish and left me wanting something more.  However, I would recommend “Sardinian Silver” by A. Colin Wright to anyone looking for a quick read that entails romance and some spicy sexual content.
