This is yet another book Mr. Wright authored where he interviews another dozen widely known people who have achieved and succeeded in the private and public sectors. Mr. Wright has authored several excellent books on leadership, and the difference is that he provides us the direct words and experiences of those who have done rather than those who only talk about doing. Mr. Wright’s books are a must have for anyone studying leadership or success, and also for anyone who is already in a leadership position. These books contain a wealth of information and experiences that we may model ourselves after.

In my own book, “Leading Beyond Tradition: A Breakthrough Strategy for Law Enforcement,” I discuss the elements of leadership required for significant change in an organization. Mr. Wright provides me with the tools and anecdotes from others and the benefits I personally gain are tremendous. I get first hand accounts of a variety of leaders, and learn that I am certainly not the only one who has often learned the hard way.

If you are looking for a series of books that take you directly into the minds of some of America’s best, look no further. David Wright has a complete set of books that have what you need to know. While it is important to acknowledge the leaders in the books, it is equally, if not more important, to acknowledge the skill Mr. Wright utilizes to bring the reader the particular insights of each person he talks to.

I highly recommend not only this book, but all of the books Mr. Wright has authored.
