Think you don’t have a creative bone in your body? This book is for you! Wondering how to liven up your next staff meeting? This book is for you! Feeling that your relationship needs a boost? This book is for you! Are you beginning to see a pattern here?

Tim Wright has produced an engaging and absorbing little book that will get anyone’s creative juices going. He offers a series of fun activities presented in a casual and relaxed way that will open the door to creative approaches in just about any aspect of your life – work, family, or even volunteer activities.

Wright describes 65 “creativity chargers” that will help get you into a frame of mind that opens up possibilities for new ideas and ways of seeing things that will add pizzazz to your life starting today. With so many ideas to choose from, the challenge becomes what to do first with all the new ways you will begin to see things, and even a dozen new approaches could pop into your mind in the blink of an eye.

The beauty of this approach is that Wright doesn’t just say it’s simple, he shows how very simple it can be to come up with creative alternatives. In fact, he presents a convincing argument that it’s really easy to spice up your life.

He says that becoming creative in everyday activities is no more complicated than “… shopping for shoes. Trying some on, seeing how they fit.” And then goes on to prove it.

Besides the many specific tips and techniques, one of Wright’s most useful keys to creativity is his “Just Let Yourself” list, worth putting up somewhere you will see it often.

For the persistent doubter, he offers this reminder: “Great artists and scientists and inventors have created a lot of not-so-great stuff.” He says, tongue in cheek, “Johann S. Bach cranked out a cantata a week. Not all of them made the Top Ten.”

Wright promises, “When you apply your creativity, you improve the quality, the excitement, and the personal value of your experiences.”

“Batteries Included” will without a doubt help you experiment with being more creative. You may surprise yourself with the creative ideas you come up with. You may surprise your boss or significant other or even your kids! Doesn’t that sound like something you would want? Go ahead and give it a try.
