The author taking on Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet is no easy task, but Williams has crafted a very funny, odd look at our old favorites. Given that he has experience as being an English teacher, you can tell that he enjoys what he does and puts a great spin on the stories.

His ability to keep the stories true to their meaning is very apparent.  His characters Sir SherChristispeare and Pancho are raucous, funny and remind me a lot of TV characters that jump first into situations and think about what they have done later.

The plot of this book is very detailed and the reader really needs to bone up on Shakespeare to really understand what is going on.  The dialogue is very intriguing and you can tell the author did his research and provided readers with vivid descriptions of the characters and events that happen.

“Who’s to Blame” by Jeffery S. Williams is not a book one can breeze through. Readers should really read a little at a time, ponder it and then read more.
