Myrna Moya, aging former movie star, has been found dead in her home. Who would have wanted her dead? It turns out that many people had a motive, including her husband, her house staff, and friends. It is the job of Detectives Luke Malone and Matt Casey to find out who and why.

The author did a good job of describing why several people would have had a motive to kill Myrna. Myrna, having been raised in poverty by a mother who was unable to show affection for her, had left home at a young age, started her acting career, and became obsessed with making money. She was bossy and controlling of others. "Myrna had received so little respect when she was younger, that now she demanded it from everyone."

"Lo, These Many Years" would be suitable for adult mystery readers. This book reinforced the beliefs that a person is the product of their upbringing and that though a person seems really bad they are probably not totally bad and they can change if they want to.

This book has a beginning that draws the reader in, some rather unique characters, and a surprise ending.
