Meredith Laughlin is the wife of the handsome and successful, Dr. Conrad Laughlin. She enjoys being a Doctor’s wife, but is preparing to return to graduate school to study English Literature – her 1st love. A mysterious cell phone call from her husband on a stormy afternoon in Texas changes Meredith’s life suddenly. She overhears what she believes to be her husband’s Jaguar crashing violently. After contacting local authorities, she learns that no accidents have been reported in the area. Her husband has gone missing – is foul play a possibility? Meredith must decide if she should go on with her life by starting graduate school while the search for her husband ensues. She must rely on her friends and family to help her through this tragedy. When Meredith learns that someone is following her and one of her closest friends is attacked in her home, Meredith starts to fear for her own life. Could this be connected to her missing husband? Does someone want her dead, too? This is a great suspenseful mystery with some interesting twists & turns. Nancy Glass West kept me turning pages into the night. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery. I look forward to the next installment! |
