The $cience of Getting Rich: The secret guide to financial success!Wallace D. Wattles
Wallace Wattles first published this book in 1910. However, do not let the age dissuade you from reading it. There are very few places in which its age reveals itself. What it does reveal, however, is how to get rich through positive thought and reinforcement. If you are disciplined enough to follow the “outline” that is set forth, you, too, can be rich through positive thought. Although it seems easy enough, it is not at all. Part of the outline is to maintain positive thought about being wealthy and the circumstances you would like to place yourself in. You are to live your life as if you already have the riches you desire. You are to give gratitude freely. Attempting to do all of these things (and a few others not listed here) at once is exceedingly difficult and surprisingly exhausting. However, in order for the “science” of getting rich to work, you must find a way to excel. Therein lies the difficulty. Try keeping positive thoughts when you are having a bad day. Try keeping the picture of your ideal life in your mind as you live in your current life. Try extending gratitude as you pay your bills. The “outline” is not as easy as it seems. However, it can be done. I tried implementing “The $cience of Getting Rich” with something small – as an example in the book suggests. I wanted to get a new television for my den. I envisioned the TV hanging on the wall… I saw it there as I watched programs on my ancient television. I anticipated its arrival even though my husband had lost his job. Approximately one month later, a number of things/situations/circumstances/what-have-you came into alignment, and we now own the television. In fact, we were able to buy a larger television that I had been envisioning. So, “yes,” the outline can be followed. And it does work. You just have to be disciplined and want it bad enough. My next goal? Riches. |
