When I picked up this book I was not sure what to expect, but I found the Rev. Dr. Jasper N. Watson’s approach to finding joy and fulfillment in your life to be well written and thought out.  This book is great for mainstream society, but I would not recommend it to someone with a strong Fundamentalist belief system or a student of New Thought. 

This simple approach is best summed up as “The Good News is very simple.  All who believe and place their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will find eternal life (John 3:16).  Our path of eternity has purpose.  Eternity leads to peace, and peace generates joy.  And joy and peace breed eternity.” (Pages 19-20)

The book is as much a guide in helping a person to find joy and peace as it is an informative book.  Some of the chapter titles are:  What divides us; Wrestling with Your Creator; A New Compass for Life and Tools of the Trade.  Biblical references with explanations substantiate his points throughout each chapter.   

Finally, he closes the book with “You do not have to be an Olympic champion or a popular, powerful, and famous person to make a difference in the Kingdom of God.  It does not matter how young or old you are.  It does not matter your gender, your past, or how long you have believed in God.  You just have to be willing to wrestle.  You have to be willing to start a journey of faith that will guide you to the peace of Christ.  Find the peace of Christ that unleashes the image of God within you.  Are you willing?” (Page 118).  If you are willing to start the journey of finding God or would like a reinforcement guide on your journey, then “One: Discovering Unity with God and One Another” by Rev. Dr. Jasper N. Watson is a great book for you to read.
