In “My Secret Life as a Priestess,” Ronnie Gale Turbane shares with you her personal story of walking the path of enlightenment.  On her journey, she has learned that “We are all merely threads woven into the ‘fabric of life.’”  She feels that we continually return to earth until we finish our own individual personal quests.  She also introduces us to Saint Barbara also known as Chango, the saint of lightening and thunder.  Turbane tells an incredible story about how Saint Barbara has been involved in her life.  She offers a novena so that we can bring her into our own.

Turbane’s life was forever changed when John, a young Cuban-American came to work for her.  Even though she already had spiritual beliefs, John helped direct her on to her current path.  Although incredibly fascinating, this path was not always easy.  Turbane had some experiences with entities that were not looking out for her best interests.  As a reader, I felt that this was a warning to make sure that we be very careful about what steps we choose to take as we walk our own paths.

“My Secret Life as a Priestess” is a perfect book for those of us who are exploring our spiritual paths.  Turbane does a wonderful job of making you feel like she is writing her story just for you.  I love that it felt like she was speaking to me, not at me.  She has had a very interesting life and wants to share her story with you.  She also wants you to find the same kind of peace that she has, so that you can live a life with faith and without fear.

I have always had an interest in saints, and I found that Saint Barbara’s story was fascinating.  This was a young woman who experienced miracles based upon her faith.  I fully intend on completing this novena and keeping this saint in my life.  Turbane’s story is meant to be appreciated and learned from; do not miss out on this opportunity.  I think My Secret Life as a Priestess” is a great book to share with other women on your spiritual path. I think that there will be some interesting, faith building discussions coming from events that will start happening as a result of the prayer.
