 Bayou Treasure Marie Bernard is an antiques dealer from New Orleans. As she was crossing the street during a business trip to Boston, some men grabbed her and tried to force her into a van. She fought back, breaking one of the assailants nose. FBI Agent LD Carmouche was on an assignment. He and his partner Rob saw Marie as she left the Bostonian; at first they wondered if she were involved, then they realized she was the target. The agents saved her life but Black escaped. Black had long been an adversary of Carmouche. Black killed for pay and for the fun of it. He wanted revenge on Carmouche. After a fiery crash Black was declared dead, but Marie’s sixth-sense told her that he was alive. No one else would listen to her. Marie returned to New Orleans. Black called threatening her family if she didn’t return the diamonds to him that he’d hidden in some English antique furniture she’d purchased and shipped to the states.. She found her brother beaten and injured, Black threatened that her younger sister was next. Marie had raised her siblings after her parents’ death, sacrificing her own life for them. Black told her that if she contacted anyone he’d make her pay. Carmouche rushed to New Orleans when he realized that Black was still alive and after Marie. From the moment he’d first laid eyes on her he knew there was a spark. Can he stay alive long enough to protect her and to convince her to trust him? Georgia Tribell has presented readers with a delightful suspense romance. The plot leads the reader on a non-ending roller coaster ride from Boston to New Orleans. The reader is immersed in the dark world of politics and the culture of New Orleans. Marie is an enchanting character. Her sixth-sense is fascinating. Carmouche is a strong lead character. Howard is the type of character we all love to hate. Black is pure evil. Fans of suspense, mystery and romance will love “Bayou Treasure.”
