The author, Rudolph Strasswimmer, Jr. gives you a look at the world through his eyes in “An Over Exposed Mind.”  This book is a collection of 650 works that are written in a Haiku format.  Strasswimmer describes his work as, “a form of literary art meshing creativity with mathematical reasoning.”  He covers a variety of topics including humor, emotions, philosophy, human relations, politics and fun.  Upon reading these works, you will discover that the author has some very unique and humorous perspectives!

As I read the through the works, I was amazed that he was able to do it all in the Haiku format.  That had to have taken some time.  He also seemed to have something written for everything that is going on in our world. Many of these works will cause you to laugh out loud, as I did.  A few others made me think, “Ouch,” and then there were some that sparked a “Huh?”

I think that “An Overexposed Mind” by Rudolph Strasswimmer, Jr. would absolutely make the perfect gift for someone that you have no idea what to get, or someone that has everything, because I seriously doubt that they would have something like this!  Even after I read this book, I kept it by my desk at work so that I have something to entertain myself while I am stuck on hold.  It is so much more fun and thought-provoking than solitaire!
