I have been a fan of the mob for many years and jumped at the chance to read this real-life account of Theresa Ferrara.  Theresa took a phone call in February of 1979 and after hanging up told her niece she was off to make an easy $10,000.  She was never seen or heard from again.  In this book her niece tries to piece together all of the information that is out there to determine what really happened to her aunt, and if there is any way to really get to the truth.

There are so many possibilities, due to the fact that Theresa was involved in some dirty business.  Is it possible that she is alive and living in the witness protection program?  If not, who killed her and exactly why?  Was it because of her alleged mob affiliation?  Or did she upset a drug dealer who took her life to quiet her?

“Looking for Closure: The Theresa Ferrara Story” by Maria Stewart is a fascinating tale and look into a life many of us can’t fathom - but a life that happened.  I know growing up in a small town has left me sheltered to some of the harsh realities exhibited in this book, and it is nice to have it brought to life in such a refreshing way.  What really happened to Theresa Ferrara?  We may never know, but Maria Stewart has written a book that may find itself in the right hands…a person who can help her find the truth after all these years.
