“Second Sight Dating” is an e-book by Cerridwen Press Publications.  The author, Marianne Stephens, takes on matchmaking with a twist.  I found the book to be a well-written, fun love story that can be read in a few hours.

Serena Sight, as she is known in her matchmaking agency, owns a new agency where she matches up couples in a most unusual way.  Her clients fill out the typical questionnaires about their likes and dislikes, but in addition, Serena has special abilities.  She is able to take a file and see the match for the person among her other files through her second sight.  The only problem she has had doing this is her own inability to see a match for herself. The one time that she tried to match herself up proved to be a disaster.

When undercover detective, Dan Reese shows up to investigate a complaint about her agency, Serena is not sure how to respond to him.  The letters that keep coming up for her when she tries to match him are S-E-X, and he has a hold on her from the first moment they meet.  As Dan pretends to be an insurance salesman who cannot get a date without help, Serena works to keep the relationship strictly professional.  She agrees to double date with him and his three match-dates which lead to some hilarious moments in the story as each date ends in disaster.  The actual police case is the only weak part of the story, but the story is so funny and interesting that I really didn’t notice.

If you enjoy a good love story with quirky twists, then this story is for you.    It is a great short story that is a quick read.  “Second Sight Dating” will definitely make singles rethink the whole match dating that has become so popular.
