“New Spiritual Answers to Life’s Big Questions” is a great book for someone interested in exploring their spirituality.  It is a very short book, only 76 pages which also include the resources list.  Because of the brevity of the book, the author, Marianne Figge Stein, PhD, does not waste her words.  Each of the 19 chapters introduces a new topic in the form of a question.  The chapters cover a variety of topics ranging from reincarnation, karma, the purpose of life, evolution, and channeling.  Stein hits all the basic subjects that someone interested in spirituality would like to get information about.  I also think that is a good book for someone who knows someone interested in these subjects if they are seeking a better understanding of that person’s beliefs.

I enjoyed this book because it refreshed me on areas of interest that I have.   Stein titles her chapters with a question about the subject to be discussed.  Then she writes about it.  She usually mentions the history of the interest, its ties to science, case examples, and how it could tie into your spiritual quest.  In the back of the book, she has an extensive list of resources to support her discussions and for the reader to be able to follow up on if they have more interest in a certain area.  I really was happy to see this part because it lets me know exactly where I need to go to follow up on an interest.  I really respect Steins, writing and beliefs and am interested in learning more about where she got them.

While this is a great book for a beginner, it is also a really nice refresher for those of us who have strayed off the spiritual path.  I felt like it pulled me back into my journey towards enlightenment.  “New Spiritual Answers to Life’s Big Questions” is the perfect gift for someone getting started on a spiritual path.  I would not recommend it to someone who has a closed mind.  They will not appreciate it and it deserves to be appreciated.
