Talk Radio Wants You: An Intimate Guide to 700 Shows and How to Get InvolvedFrancine Silverman
Francine Silverman has to be commended for providing this extremely beneficial resource for anyone that is even slightly thinking of getting interviewed on a radio, both AM/FM or Internet. She provides a comprehensive list categorized by topics that each radio host covers. Some of the categories are: Health and Fitness; Authors; Business, Finance and Marketing; New Age; Politics; Parents and Children and so much more. Each listing includes name of the show, host and station, guest profile, guest from hell, contact information, and bio of the host. This information itself is worth its weight in gold. Considering this book was published in 2009 and the research probably done in 2008, some of the information may not be correct. Ideally, an addendum, with more current information as well as missing categories, would be good to have but I'm not aware of one at this time. However, that said, I feel that Francine Silverman’s “Talk Radio Wants You” is one of the best and most inexpensive resources you could have. Similar lists can be purchased for hundreds of dollars but with this book and a little research to confirm current information, any author or publicist will find Silverman's compilation of much value. |
