In part 1 of Soul Journey, the author Richard Salva, investigates the similarities between the life of Abraham Lincoln and Charles Lindberg. He presents compelling evidence that Charles Lindberg is the reincarnation of Abraham Lincoln. Salva presents his evidence in a way that is clear and easy to understand. He includes a Multilifetime Chronology of both Lincoln and Lindberg to show the timeframe of events that occurred in both their lives. This timeline makes it very easy for the reader to refer back to while reading more detailed events of each man's life. The reviewer gained more insight into the life of Lincoln and Lindberg and was able to see the depth of both of their characters.

In part 2, Salva writes about spiritual universal principles that can be used by anyone, no matter what their belief system. He includes writings by Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda. Through these writings Salva shows the reader how to apply what we learn from this life into our next lives. He uses references from the Yogi Sutras of the Hindu sage Patanjali. In this section he frequently refers to the "Eightfold Path." Salva has the ability to allow the reader to easily understand the writings of these great yogis and the principles that they are trying to convey to the reader about how best to live their lives. By using Lincoln and Lindberg as an example, the reader is able to see how these principles have applied to these men. As the reader delves into the second part of the book, she is able to see how to apply these principles to her own life.

This book is highly recommended for people that are interested in investigating their past lives and who are ready to apply the yogic principles, conveyed in an easily understandable manner, into their current lives. Salva writes in such a way that even beginners to this path would readily be able to adapt the principles into their own lives.
