“The Orchid Grower” is a great mystery for young and older readers alike. Thefts occur around the city and Joab investigates them along with his sister, Dina. At the crime scenes, the thieves leave behind orchids. Dina recognizes them as bee orchids and the kids try to find people who grow this specific type of orchid.

The author writes this book in a picturesque way. You feel like you are right next to Joab and Dina as they avoid detection from an armed man behind a tree. The story is written so good, you never feel lost. My favorite part of the book was when they realized how the toys in the toy store were connected to the crimes.

In conclusion, this book is good read and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick mystery. Happy reading!
