I have to admit this is one of the most intriguing mystery books I have read in a while.  The author’s ability to give just enough descriptive words to keep readers thinking “I know who did it,” will catch all by surprise. Six long-time friends get together at Robin Anders estate on Long Island to reminisce and play on each other’s feelings.

Robin Anders is by all standards a snob, prissy with a holier-than-thou attitude, and sees all in the working life as peons. Robin dislikes people who work in jobs that are below the high stature of the lifestyle she is accustomed to. However, to get what one wants, sometimes you must use all available resources.

After a very tedious and long weekend at Robin’s estate, everyone returns to their own homes. However, what they didn’t expect is that one by one they would die mysteriously.

The author’s description of the characters has presented information as to their whims, paranoia and relationships without telling you their sexual identity. This can truly be madness as readers try to figure out the sexual orientation of each. Each character is a pill-popping, dramatic individual with each crisis putting them closer to hysteria.

Throughout the book readers will enjoy extensive drama, blackmail, pill-pushing doctors and egos that are above all.  The author has cleverly written his characters so readers will love or hate them and one will switch back and forth on how they feel. Robin Anders narrates this story of murder and mystery in a style that reflects how Robin sees what has happened in an often drug-fogged mind.

“Androgynous Murder House Party” by Steven Rigolosi is a fast-paced, intriguing book.  The author has intentionally written in such a form that leaves you asking for more clues.
