“Any Rich Man Will Do” by Francis Ray is difficult to read at first.  I disliked Jana, the main character to the point that I thought about not finishing the book.  Jana was self-centered, spoiled, and lazy.  She wallowed in self-pity.

Throughout the book, as Jana grew in maturity, I became unwilling to stop reading.  As a matter of fact, the sex scene was worth rereading.  As Francis Ray wrote, “He was relentless.”

All of the characters seemed tangible.  I wanted to strangle Jana at first, but in the end I wanted to give her a hug.  The two main male characters, Tyler and Julian, will make the reader appreciate their sensitivity.  Francis Ray mixes spirituality into the mundane moments of the characters’ days.  The book flows, making it easy to read.  This is a great summer read.  It provides an enjoyable escape for the reader.
