Live with Intention: Rediscovering What We Deeply Know
Every now and then you find a little book which delights the senses and breathes new life into the soul. A little book with a big message and meaningful advice yet speaks with a lighthearted, whimsical tone. A little book that remains humble within its lofty aspirations for its readers. “Live with Intention: Rediscovering What We Deeply Know” is that little book. “Live with Intention” is a collection of profound messages meant to be used for self-improvement towards a deeper and more significant life. Author Mary Anne Radmacher offers passionate advice on such subjects as completing tasks, the spirit, personal health, the importance of play, real gratitude, true forgiveness, enthusiasm, nurturing relationships, the art of dreaming, and generosity. The pages are sprinkled with fun, whimsical artwork which does well in reflecting the book’s animated personality. I especially enjoyed the ‘Word Birds’ – short ‘winged thoughts’ that can easily be jotted down on a note and kept anywhere you’d need to see regular inspiration. It’s no wonder Radmacher’s encouraging messages have appeared on motivating posters, refrigerator magnets, bags, journals, and mugs for over twenty years! “Live with Intention” fits easily into a small bag or purse, making it easy for even extremely busy individuals to get a daily dose of Radmacher’s advice. The book is sturdy and very well put together; I spent several days carrying it around with me and it took being pulled in and out of my bag regularly despite being a paperback. Very well edited and proofread, I found no glaring grammatical, punctuation, or spelling errors. Radmacher’s style has a relaxed even feel and delivers a consistent message throughout. It’s one of those books that you have to get at least two of – one for yourself and one to pass on to a friend. “Live with Intention: Rediscovering What We Deeply Know” will have you rethinking the everyday, mundane, and seemingly unimportant things while teaching how to live the life you’ve been craving. Mary Anne Radmacher writes with such a deep passion and love that you can actually hear her smile coming out from the pages. This is one you’ll read over and over again. “Live with Intention: Rediscovering What We Deeply Know” is beautifully simple yet powerful. |
