I don’t know of anyone that doesn’t like chocolate in one form or another.  Highly addictive and joyously scrumptious chocolate has been a favorite since its discovery and continues to be so in many societies.  And, of course I’m one big fan!  I was delighted to try out the recipes in “Everyday Chocolate.”

It has been a long time since I made fudge so “Mocha Fudge” was the first recipe I tried. The addition of marshmallow crème made the end result smooth.  Decadently sweet and a melt-in-your-mouth texture made a fabulous treat.

The second recipe I tried was “Chocolate Truffle Cake.”  This was an interesting end result. Not knowing what to expect or what it was supposed to be like it still ended up as a tasty desert. The whipped topping added to the flavor.  Personally, I probably will not be making this again.

The third recipe I tried was “Creme Cheese Biscuits and Chocolate Gravy.” We loved them!   The recipe used dry baking mix and I added cream cheese and milk.  Served warm with a huge spoonful of chocolate sauce make a savory, yet slightly sweet, dessert.

In addition to recipes this book contains quick tips.

Flipping through “Everyday Chocolate,” I noted that the recipes contained items that are probably in the pantry or are easy to obtain.  My idea is to buy several of these books as gifts, accompanied by something made using one of the recipes.  I think the recipient would be most pleased.
