“8 State Hurricane Kate: The Journey and Legacy of a Katrina Cattle Dog” will have you laughing, crying, pulling-your-hair-out-mad, and eager to help.  My family has been involved in several rescue “missions” for Jack Russell Terriers and have participated in many events sponsored by our local animal shelter, but after reading “8 State Hurricane Kate” we will do more. 

Everyone who reads “8 State Hurricane Kate” will be in awe of the work Jenny Pavlovic has done for these animals.  Out of desperate, tragic times came yet another miracle.  I commend her strength, not only for her rescue, but for putting together this huge undertaking of providing us with all of this vital information.  With so much need, this book can serve as a guide for those wishing to serve.  You, as I, have heard the stories of that tragic hurricane - all the devastation and loss, but this book is all about encouragement.  Encouragement that there are those out there who want to help, can help, and are prepared for the task.

Have a tissue ready, the personal accounts will have you crying for both sorrow and joy.  I personally thank Jenny Pavlovic for this great gift of “8 State Hurricane Kate” and assure her that my family will focus our service to those who are unable to help themselves.
