Rafi has always had feelings for his friend Roberto. Roberto was in love with Fifi, his sex circuit competition partner and only saw Rafi as a friend. When Roberto suffers an on the job injury during a sex performance accident, Fifi leaves him for someone else. Roberto falls apart and lives in squalor. While Rafi is on his planet for work, he stops by to visit Roberto and cannot believe what a mess he is. Roberto also has violent debt collectors chasing him. Rafi rescues him along with two teenagers and they take off on his space ship. Rafi has a great crew on his ship. They are like family to each other. They accept Roberto and the teens.

Roberto decides to go back into the sex circuit competition. He ruined his reputation under his real name, so he changes it and decides to wear costumes to hide his identity. Roberto offers to be his partner for the competitions. This is bittersweet for Rafi because he is still very much in love with Roberto. Their practice together becomes something more than just physical. They do very well in their competitions. When Roberto and Rafi are blackmailed by Fifi, Roberto realizes the full depth of his feelings for Rafi. They realize that they are meant to be together. The whole crew and the two men work out a plan for their future.

This is a great romantic story placed within a science fiction setting. This was my first homosexual erotic story. I have started to read others, but always found them crude and too disconnected from emotions. The author Shelly Munro gives you a great romance between two people; it doesn’t matter their gender, they really love each other. Their sex scenes are written with great passion and intensity. I think that people who enjoy erotic stories with something a little different will enjoy “Fallen Idol.” It is definitely not for the faint of heart!
