Did you know the following?

“1903: In the first modern fall classic, the American League’s Boston Americans (also known as the Red Sox) defeat the Pittsburg Pirates in a best-of-nine World Series."

“1886: St. Louis Cardinals’ pitcher Charlie Sweeney serves up a record seven home runs in a single game.”

“1985: Duane Kuiper, a twelve-year veteran with Cleveland and San Francisco, retires with one career home run in 3,379 at bat.”

“Fun Facts for Baseball Fans” is full of facts like this and interspersed are passages from the Bible for added insight. Paul Muckley’s compilation is interesting, fact-filled, and inspirational.  I have to admit, I’m not an avid baseball fan but I enjoyed this book.  My husband and I flipped through it, reading the specifics.  He is a baseball fan so his extended knowledge brought on much conversation.

Baseball fans will enjoy “Fun Facts for Baseball Fans” by Paul Muckley.  It’s a great gift book and small enough to be a stocking stuffer.
