Jane Sillee spent her entire life longing for the man in her dreams.  He was her friend during her childhood and the love of her life as she matured.  She knew what he looked like but had never seen him except during the wee hours in her sleep.  That is, until an old tapestry is delivered to her.  There was he was her soul mate, his image woven and preserved in threads along with his name, Aedan MacKinnon.

When Jane fell asleep with the old tapestry in her arms she awakened on the shores of ancient Scotland.  She had no idea how she got there.  When she realizes Aedan is there she is determined to win his love and to break him free from the bonds holding him to the King.  If Jane cannot win his love with in 30 days he will serve the Unseelie King as Vengeance, for the rest of his life

Aedan had sacrificed his freedom for his family and his clan.  For 500 years he’d been held captive.  For 500 years he has been brainwashed, then held captive, tortured.  He’s no longer even sure he is human.  Can Jane bring him to the man he was meant to be?

Karen Marie Moning and her Highlander series has long been a favorite of mine.   From the day I picked up the first Highlander book I was hooked.  Each has pleased me and “Into the Dreaming” is no exception.  Ms. Moning has a flair for mixing humor and romance in a way that lures her readers to an exciting adventure.  Once I open one of her books, I can’t put it down.  I find myself smiling and laughing.  The characters always entice me to spend the entire afternoon curled up with a book.  Ms. Moning manages to transport her readers back in time, to a simpler era.  I understand she has a new book coming out, “Darkfever,” and you can bet it’s on the top of my to-read list.  You did it again Ms. Moning!  I highly recommend “Into the Dreaming” to those who enjoy really good, historical romance, time travel, and a good sensual story.
