Baby Steps
Michael has incurred the wrath of a local anti-abortion group. Lynda is a pro-choice Christian. In her defense of Michael’s clinic Lynda draws attention from the media. Events begin happening that make Lynda fear for the safety of her family. She has to step back and look at what is most important to her. She also has a huge surprise in store for her. I really enjoyed reading “Baby Steps.” The relationship between Lynda and her son is really touching. There are a lot of lessons to be learned in how she helps him through his own personal situations. She teaches him a lot about respect, and how to make amends when he messes up. Her pro-choice ideas are intelligently thought out and discussed. I found this part to be very interesting because her character is acting on rational thought, not emotions. The author handled this subject very well. “Baby Steps” is a heartwarming story about a woman’s ability to overcome a severe loss and move on with her life. The characters are well developed and their interactions with each other range from thought provoking to humorously entertaining. This is an all around great book to read. |
