Erin Wilson is not having a good day when she sees the flashing red and blue lights behind her.  She’d had a flat tire, been late for work, a co-worker had sexually harassed her, her brother and sister-in-law announced that they were coming for a visit, her mother needed money and she caught her best friend and her boyfriend in bed together.  How could things get worse?   As soon as she heard his voice she knew who the police officer was, Dave Bennett, her high school boy friend. They had a hot sex life, often role-playing. She’d never stopped loving him.  They’d loved each other and made plans to live their lives together, but she’d become frightened, she was young and wanted to experience life.  She’d broken up with him and left town.  She wanted to return to him so many times but didn’t think he’d take her back. 

Dave Bennett recognized her and realized that the old feelings were still there but he was angry that she’d left him.  He took her into custody, taking her not to the police station but his home where he had a well-supplied bondage room.  His intentions were to punish her for leaving him as well as for breaking the law.  He had several punishments in mind including lacing her in a 4x4 cage.  He flogged her and wouldn’t allow her to orgasm.  She admitted that she never should have left him and how much she loved him.  This story has a happy ending!

Cheyenne McCray is an extraordinarily talented writer.  “Taking on the Law” is a sensuous, exciting, romantic book.  The story is short but the emotions that come across are unfathomable.  The story contains anal, bondage and oral.  The characters are well-developed and exciting.  Erin and Dave are the perfect pair.  I found a lot of humor in this book.  “Taking on the Law” is an excellent read and I highly recommend it to fans of erotic romance.
