Victim Rights: A Ryan Dooley MysteryNorah McClintock
Dooley was a young man in love, but he came from the wrong side of town. His girlfriend Beth didn’t care where he lived or how much money his family had.. Beth’s school was going on a trip for a week to help the less fortunate. What Beth didn’t tell Dooley was who would be there. She didn’t really want to stir up trouble and knew if she told Dooley he would be mad. When Beth got back from her trip she wouldn’t see Dooley or take his calls. However, Nevin, one of the rich snobs, made sure he went to the video store where Dooley worked to tell him what others were saying. Beth had been with another guy and had gone upstairs to his room. Parker, another of the brat pack, had no problems getting girls and using them for his pleasure. Somehow Parker ends up dead in a ravine behind his plush house. Rumors were spreading like wildfire as to who would have killed him. The first suspect is Dooley; he didn’t have a clean record and irritated the local police. The author gives readers a great insight into what goes on in the minds of teenagers and how money does make a difference.
