From the very beginning the author captures readers’ interest.  Carolyn Weedman has so much on her mind that she doesn’t see the dog in front of her car and hits it - enter a tall, dark stranger who offers her more than helping the poor dog.

Author Paula Margulies has written a very exciting and “what will they do” book for readers. Her ability to get into the mind of her characters and bring them to her readers is very creative. At one time or another, all relationships hit hard times and we all make choices that may be harmful or helpful to the relationship.

This is a story about relationships and roads one travels.  Carolyn Weedman is in a relationship that is slowly going downhill. She is stuck in trying to stay in a relationship that doesn’t give her any “fuzzies” and pursuing a hopeful friendship with a Native American that will help her liven up her life. Little does she realize that she is coming to the crossroads of change that will dramatically change her life.

Not only has the author written a compelling story, she gives readers interesting information on Native American beliefs, values and lifestyles.  “Coyote Heart” by Paula Margulies is a story that includes searching ones beliefs and comparing them to another culture.  Easy to read, this is a “capture your interest” book from the first page that will make readers look at their own relationships and what would they do if faced with similar situations.
