H. T. Manogue uses poetry to express his thoughts on learning who he is, why he’s here and where he came from.  Ace is his Trademark.  I found his poetry to be profound yet written simply enough to be understandable.  The following poems particularly touched me, possibly because I have a new grandchild.  I look at him and wonder what he’s thinking.  How is he connecting where he came from with the world he now lives in?  Is he aware of how much he’s loved?  He’s at his beginning; he doesn’t know anger, judgment, or fear.

Our Trademark
Ace represents the child we all know
The tremendous creator we have within us.
He signifies the high feelings of well being
We came equipped with when we started our path
In this physical world.
A for Awareness
C for Connected
E for Energy
To act as the child who knows no fear
Who knows no anger
Who knows no judgment.
Who fills days with works of Joy and connection
For himself and for all he meets.
His level of experiencing joy and happiness in life
Changes with
Each thought of kindness
Each breathe of truth
Each act of freedom.
To be who he is
With all That IS
For eternity.
His daily prayer is:
My Will Is To Will God’s Will
In Every Cell Of My Body
To Be That I Which I Am
God’s Evolving Plan”

H. T. Manogue is an extremely talented poet.  “Short Sleeves” is written in a unique style that I found easy to read and understand.  His poems address harmony, love and understanding.  I enjoyed reading his work.  I recommend this book to fans of poetry; it will offer you a sense of serenity.
