Deadly Duplicates
“Deadly Duplicates” is the story of twin sisters Doreen and Deborah and the two men that love them, Dave Selton and Joe Sterling. The sisters are Siamese twins that were joined from armpit to hip at birth yet were surgically separated, leaving both with horrible scars. Shortly after the separation, the nurses noticed strange behavior from them. When one of them cried the other cried too, and when one of them was picked up and soothed the other became calm without being touched. Now they are all grown up and Doreen is a nurse at the Metropolitan Hospital in New Jersey. She starts getting paranoid that the doctor who did the surgery separating her from her sister is out to kill her. Every doctor she sees turns into Dr. John McClusky, and she starts planning their demise. Before long she has killed three doctors thinking each one was Dr. McClusky. In Florida, Deborah, now a lab technician keeps losing hours of time, not knowing where she’s been or what she’s been doing. During these times three people die in her small town. Dave Selton, a detective in Edison, N.J. and Joe Sterling, a deputy sheriff in Flagler Beach, FL. try their best to solve the murders in each of their towns. Finally they each find evidence that will link the two sisters to the murders. This is a page turner that keeps you reading to find out what is going to happen to Doreen and Deborah. The characters are very believable and the descriptions of the locations precise. I felt like I was there as everything was happening, right in the thick of things. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone. It is a fast-paced thriller, and a very quick read. |
