When I first began to read “Subtle Touch” by Beth Kery I was confused. I felt as though I’d walked into the middle of a book and had missed something. I’m not familiar with Astral Planes. Perhaps I was just having a duh moment. Or perhaps if I’d read the first book in the “Subtle Love Series” I would have a better understanding. There is a note at the beginning of the book that describes the “Watchers” as “Sons of God.” “It is clear that (incubi) are neither evil Demons nor Good Angels, thus the children begotten by incubi are tall, very hardy and bloodily bold.” The author has also conveniently provided a glossary for terms that the reader may not understand. The storyline (once I got past the beginning) was very sensual, interesting, and well thought out. The sex scenes were out of this world, hot, imaginative and arousing. The characters are well-developed. This is definitely a love story as well as erotica. Che and Sophia are in love and I couldn’t help but feel their connection. “Subtle Touch” contains oral, anal, bondage and double penetration. All in all I think this is a good read and a hot book. Readers that enjoy erotic romance will enjoy this one. |
