INSTRUCTIONS:  Must be read in a very, very quiet place and completely sober!

When looking at the cover of the book I visually saw a striking female displayed in one of those “glamour shot” poses that were all-the-rage during the 90s and was subconsciously thinking, “What type of Goddess is this book about?”  No, my mind was not in the gutter – I do believe this would be a common reaction at first glance.

I read from cover to cover without putting the book down.  I didn’t get it.  Yes, there are some beautiful photos, great imagery and detailed creative descriptions of Nashville and yet here I was wondering, “What in the hell had I just read?”

I sat and pondered (that’s what us southern folk do) then removed the dust jacket, took another look at the plain black fabric cover and with a plain blank mind began reading again, oh-so-slowly.  I absorbed this poignant literary contribution and was astonished at the spirited beauty it contained.

“I met a Greek Goddess in Nashville” reminds us that home is where you hang your hat -- where you rest your head -- beyond location, where your heart lies.
