In “Life is Divine Play,” the author Mark Johnson entertains us with the story of his spiritual journey.  He has led a fascinating life that has taken him from a small town in Pennsylvania to incredible places all over the world.  During this time, he has had the opportunity to train under some renowned teachers in the Vedenata, Zen and Daoist belief systems.  He also taught Tai Ji and Chi Gung.

While reading Mark’s stories, I was both educated and inspired.  Learning about his experiences and what he learned along the way taught me more about the traditions in which he studied.  Reading the book itself was play for me because I really enjoyed sharing in his life and seeing the world through his eyes.  Each chapter focuses on a different topic.  Each topic starts with “Learning to play.”  At the end of the book, he lists nine secrets to living a life of play.  Being a part of the Oneness and living to serve others is important for living a life of play.

I highly recommend this novel for people who are on the path of their own spiritual journeys. “Life is Divine Play” by Mark Johnson will inspire you and also help remind you to lighten up and enjoy the trip.
