Alyssa met Kyle at a party while in college and they have been hot and heavy ever since. Kyle is the only man that Alyssa has been with and she has been faithful throughout their relationship and she assumes the same for Kyle.

To Alyssa, Kyle is the perfect man. He offers her everything that a woman could want. He is handsome, educated, strong, professional and the father of her daughter, but why is she wearing his engagement ring and unwilling to set a wedding date? Is he not all the man that she needs?

Alyssa’s life seems perfect. She has a great job, sophisticated style, good educated, a beautiful daughter, and the perfect man. Her love for Kyle is strong. She has always loved him with great passion, willing to do anything he asked, believe everything that he says. She would walk a thousand mile for him if he needed her to, so why is Alyssa spending so much time at her job? Why doesn’t she have enough time for Kyle? Is she having a change of heart?

Alyssa’s best friend Alexandra suddenly moves back into town and Alyssa could not be happier. But why has Alexandra suddenly moved back into town, what secrets does she hide. Alexandra is beautiful, sexy and wild. Why is she so unwilling to date Kyle’s best friend and cousin, Terrance? Terrance could have any woman that he wants. He is a tall, handsome, well-educated single doctor, who has always had a thing for Alexandra. Alexandra is not willing to give him a chance.

Alyssa is having the time of her life--she has her baby, man and best friend and feels that life could not get any better. Then the new doctor begins working at her employment and spending time in Alyssa’s office. Will this doctor cause her eye to stray? Will she find passion for another man? What is Kyle doing when he is not spending time with Alyssa? Will Alyssa live happily ever after?

“Soul of Me” is a bumpy ride in the world of relationships. The book is easy to read, but much different than most romance novels. The author offers greater sexual content than your average romance novel and differs some of the standard girl meets boy, they fall in love; they fall apart, find one another and live happily ever after. Olivia J. provides lots of drama and sex; she even throws in a little shock and rage. There are quite a few twists and turns, some you don’t understand and some that you do. Overall it was a book that was easy to read and enjoyable.
