Nita, an ex-prostitute and her aged husband are held captive during a heist by four male thieves.  During the short stint in the vault she plays mind- and sex-games while her husband looks on.

At this point I’m not sure what else to say.  I read the book before I read the synopsis and it was only after reading the synopsis that I realized what was happening.   There was no plot development to give the reader a hint of what was going on.  It was difficult to tell if it was actually a mind-game, a fantasy, or reality.

I believe this story has potential, providing the author re-visits his writing and engages a content editor.  As well, the editing issues were so glaring that, combined with a confusing plot, exacerbated confusion.  The over use of ellipses and dashes was annoying as well as perplexing.

I, as a reviewer, did not enjoy “The Vault” at all for the above reasons. However, that said, there may be readers that are willing to forgo major editing issues and lack of plot setup, and enjoy the mind- and sex-games for what they are.  You be the judge.
