Tim Grizzle, in “Creating Wealth in a Turbulent Economy,” allows us to rethink our current turbulent economy and react positively about the forces around us.  Opportunities appear in many areas of our lives; we need only be watchful, do the research necessary to make a decision and act upon it.  Never before have we seen such an opportunity to create something new, expand on something existing or just be smarter than the ones before us.  Grizzle’s simple presentation and logical format makes this an easy read, but most of all it allows the reader to comprehend the complexities of finance and business.  Also, his experience as a CPA makes you feel comfortable with the individual encounters he shares as we weave our way through Tim’s 18 Laws.

We may think this economical crisis is unique only to us, it is not.  Grizzle takes us step-by-step, up and down the slippery slope of economic times starting with 1637’s Tulip Mania of the Netherlands. He brings us to an awareness of all the major turbulent economies, how they developed and who and what was done to correct the dilemma.  He explains in simple lay terms the economical dysfunction of big banks, companies like Enron and small businesses, showing why they fail and how the creative business people were able to see an opportunity and capitalize on it.

The key to this book is to make you aware, to be open, to be observant and take advantage of all those opportunities floating around us every day.  Like the young couple Grizzle refers to who started up their own commercial roofing business in the downturn of 2001. Things were tough but the opportunity presented itself and with hard work and persistence they created a very successful organization.  Grizzle details how you may structure your business as an S corporation or a C corporation or possibly a LLC.  Valuable information on the purchase of life insurance will assist and guide you though the pluses and minuses of this investment.
