“Moments of Insanity” is such a diverse mix of humor and insanely dark poetry that I didn’t know where to classify it. It was dark, but with sporadic stints of quite funny occurrences. I detected a bit of the Beat poet in Jeremy’s writing, making this a most interesting collection of verse. With poems like “Money, Reflections of Youth,” “Fine Print” and others, it took me back to a dim lit coffeehouse and a poet sitting on a stool in the round.

“Moments of Insanity” had its moments, certain verse that hit home, others that drew me in and captivated me - still other poems that didn’t faze me a bit; but not enough of those to make me put it down. Jeremy’s book will not necessarily appeal to a general audience. I don’t believe everyone cares for one particular type of verse. But the group that likes this type of poetry will enjoy this book.  With 78 pages, it makes it a quick read on a short plane trip.

The author has a unique style and presents his work with an unusual flare. I gave the book a high rating of a B and would be interested to see what other offerings this author has in the future.

There is only one thing that I would suggest to the author for his next book and that is to include a Table of Contents. I didn’t mind it too much in this book since it was only 78 pages but I don’t like going back and searching through a book to find a particular favorite passage. Aside from that, it was very worthy of the grade given and should be a hit with its focus group.
