I have to admit when I picked up this book I was not sure if I would enjoy it because of the unusual writing style in this political satire.  I did enjoy it; however, I do think this is the type of book that you will either love or walk away wondering what you just read.  Personally, I found the writing style and storyline intriguing and easy-to-follow.  The author, Alan Fox, promises in the forward that the reader will leave the book saying “Isn’t this world a crazy place?”  And he delivers over and over again.

“The Seeker in Forever” is a modern approach to the old story of hero and heroine working to overcome evil and make the world a better place to live.

The hero, Miles Roark, loves the world so much that he becomes a Sound Chaser to fight the evil of Cinjun Kahn S’mythe of the House Crimson.  The author best describes a Sound Chaser as “someone who has learned the skill of being human.  A Sound Chaser is a person who has gathered wisdom: a person brings the lessons of time; who brings the body of the times; who brings nature’s force and pressure into a fight.  A Sound Chaser is a person who comes clothed in the colors of nature’s longings. A Sound Chaser is a fighter who burns with lifeflow.”   When Miles Roarke teams up with his beautiful girlfriend Daphne Fox, they become unstoppable against the large forces of evil.

“The Seeker in Forever” is an entertaining book that is a great read for anyone who enjoys a fast-paced, well-written political satire.
