This is one of the most concise, user-friendly books on trigger point work I have seen.  Each modality has an image of the body part with trigger points indicated, as well as proximal attachment, distal attachment, action, and palpation.  In some cases the authors add pain pattern, causative or perpetuating factors, and stretching and strengthening exercises.

As a former trigger point practitioner I can attest that this book addresses areas of myofascial pain in a very effective manner and I wish I would have had it for quick reference when needed.  It is designed for body practitioners that use trigger point therapy on its own or as an added modality to their practice.

“Trigger Point Therapy for Myofascial Pain” by the Finando’s is recommended for any practitioner’s library, and certainly as a resource.  Lay people may find the concept interesting or want more knowledge as to what their practitioner is doing.  They would find it easy to understand and may find the exercises of value. This is a classic that will be around for a long time - the myofascial structure will never change nor will the trigger points.
