Edna Emily Argent Rella was well known for whipping her clients into shape.  She called herself the Wicked Stepmother.  Clients begged for the lash of her whip; at least most clients did, but that was before she met Frank.  Frank could never be dominated.  Frank had been sent by the Queen to protect Edna and to capture the man that had been terrorizing prostitutes.  Edna’s heart wasn’t into being a dominatrix but it paid the bills.  When she meets Frank she realized that she wanted him to dominate her. Frank was supposed to be undercover but eventually shares information with Edna.  Queen Cindy, Edna’s stepdaughter, had married the prince.  She’d accused her stepmother of abusing her.  Now Edna had no choice but to work as a dominatrix to make restitution.  Edna has been receiving threatening letters.  She didn’t take them seriously until Frank insisted that the situation was dangerous.  Queen Cindy has devious plans of her own.  She wants Edna dead.  The Prince, Cindy’s weird husband, has the hots for Edna and wants to keep her a prisoner in her own private room at the castle.  Frank comes to the rescue and saves Edna from both evil rulers.  Was it a one-time thing for Frank?  Or, will he return Edna’s love and rule her heart forever?

Anna J. Evans retells the Cinderella story with a definite twist; this time Cindy is the evil one and the stepmother is the mistreated female.  The plot is hilarious and has some unusual twists and turns.  The characters are well-developed.  Frank is masterful and determined to take control.  Edna is interesting; stepmother’s everywhere will relate to her.  Cindy is the spoiled brat and the prince…well he’s nuts.  I look forward to reading more of Ms Evans “fractured fairy-tales.”  Fans of erotic romance will enjoy “Main Attraction.”
