Sarah’s Christmas MiracleMary Ellis “Sarah’s Christmas Miracle” is a coming-of-age novel. Sarah is in transition from a child to a woman and is unsure if she is fully ready to handle the emotions and responsibility that being an Amish wife entails. The novel embraces family and God’s love, showing that no matter where you go or what you do it’s never too late to be accepted back with open arms. It is a story of unconditional love. Sarah quickly learns about herself, about others and mainly about whom she is and what she wants out of life. I really enjoyed this novel. It was a light, warmhearted and encouraging read. The book itself was not long. It was one-hundred and thirty-four pages, which worried me at first. I was pleasantly surprised to find the novel was not lacking in content and was also not rushed. It was the perfect length for the story. “Sarah’s Christmas Miracle” is not a surprising book; I knew what was going to happen before I started reading it; however the book holds far more than just a simple story. It doesn’t matter that the reader is not surprised. Aside from the price of the book, which seems a little high given the length, the book was very satisfying and recommendable. I look forward to reading other titles from the author. I also enjoyed this wholesome family story of love, acceptance and understanding. |
