Heretic Sun When Thraxis returns to Athraskani with Arrow by his side, the Black Council elicits his assistance in finding an ancient city. There is hope that secrets of power are contained within the city, secrets that can protect the Athraskani. They demand that he mate with Melilandra. He agrees to help find the city but only if they never again ask him to give up Arrow or mate with anyone else. Thraxis realizes there is neither love nor kindness in Melilandra. Thraxis had no idea that he had a little sister until he finds her peeking in windows. She has been falsely dressed in the red robes of a sorcerer; her true destiny is that of a black robe. Thiacene’s parents wanted to keep her close to them so they deceived the Council. Thiacene is heartbroken when forced to separate from her parents. She turns to Arrow for comfort and asks to be trained in warrior ways. Arrow has a secret of her own. Will she trust Thraxis enough to share it with him? Will Thraxis’ preoccupation with the city destroy what he has with Arrow? Will Melilandra come between Thraxis and Arrow? “Heretic Sun” is a love story hidden in the guise of fantasy/science fiction. You feel as though you are one of the characters as you read their love, anguish, passion and adventure. The print is a nice size, easy to read. The cover hints at the adventures within. The plot is exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I recommend this book to fans of fantasy and science fiction. |
