“The Day Will Come” by Judy Clemens will thrill fans.  Stella Crown is back again!

Stella Crown is a Pennsylvania dairy farmer. She finds the Mennonite area irresistible. Stella is a tattooed biker.  Rock and roll is her favorite music.

Farmhand Lucy is getting married.  The maid of honor is Stella if she can ever find a dress that actually fits.  She’d considered jeans and a t-shirt but decided it might not be appropriate.  Lenny and Lucy buy four tickets to a rock concert in Philadelphia.  The Tom Copper band is in concert at the Club Independence.  They are also scheduled to play at the wedding.  Stella and Nick are thrilled to join them.  Jordan is a soundman for the band.  He takes Stella and Nick backstage to meet the musicians.

There is a bomb threat at the concert.  The crowd rushes to leave the building.  In the chaos Stella is shoved over a rail, only to be rescued by Lenny.  As they exit the building she becomes separated from her friends.  But never fear a biker places her on his shoulder for a bird’s eye view.

The K-9 dogs find the bomb that is “designed to be detonated by remote control.”  The police manage to disarm it and no one is hurt.  However, Jordan’s girlfriend, the band’s vocalist, is missing.  The police find her dead.

Nick was sick when the foursome went to the concert.  It hits Stella hard when she finds out what he’s been hiding from her.

Stella has a lot to deal with. Is she strong enough?

“The Day Will Come” was my first introduction to Judy Clemens’ talent.  I am eager to read her previous books.  The plot is excellent and involved.  I enthusiastically turned the pages to see what would happen next.    The characters have great depth.  Stella is strong, intelligent and independent.  She isn’t perfect but who is. She’s a very believable character; the things she deals with are problems most people face.  Lucy is a fascinating character with great patience.  I truly enjoyed this book.  I highly recommend this to fans of fiction and mystery.
