Daphne Charissa believes that she is destined to live her 500 years of life without life because she is a cupid.  Cupids can give love to others but not have any for their selves.  This seems hugely unfair.  Having her career with Cupid’s Arms which is a hugely successful relationship matching service, Daphne is dedicated to bringing love to others, until she meets Bion Chronos.  She finds herself hugely attracted to him; however, she knows that it can only end in heartbreak for her.  When Bion begins pursuing her, she finds herself unable to resist him.  She also notices that time stops for her when he is around.  They have incredible intimate moments.  She truly wishes that they could be fated to be together.

Daphne contacts the Fates to see if they are involved.  She desperately wants to know the truth; meanwhile she fears that her time with Bion is running out.  The mystery continues as she does not find the answers that she seeks. Bion pulls away from her as she suspects.  However, the truth is very different from what she believes.  She discovers that Bion is much more than she suspects. 

I really enjoyed “Nocked Over” by Sam Cheever.  This was my first romance about a Cupid.  It made a refreshing change for me.  The erotic relationship between Daphne and Bion is totally enjoyable to read about.  The side stories involving Dapne’s adventures as Cupid are also quite entertaining and humorous.  I definitely recommend this one!
