Chavis did much more than publish empty mantras, such as ‘work smarter, not harder.’  His book gives a step-by-step plan on researching potential areas and weighing buying options while providing real-world examples, blank forms, advice on professionalism, and enlisting the help of subject matter experts.  He notes that the process entails a great deal of research and leg work but Chavis’ information is well organized and easy to follow.  By the time I finished, I was convinced that the author not only knows what he’s talking about but all that hype in the beginning was completely justified. 

“Buy It, Rent It, Profit!” is the perfect read for those looking for a long-term investment and career in the real estate business.  Neither endorsing ‘get rich quick’ or ‘property flipping’ fads, Bryan M. Chavis provides the necessary tools of the trade for making smart decisions and meeting realistic goals.  Impressive and informative, the book is a must read for both the beginner as well as the experienced real estate professional.
