The Cadari people have been fighting the Zacoris for centuries.  The Zacoris are known for causing havoc wherever they go.  They invade other planets, capturing people and injecting them with a potent drug.  This drug converts the victim into tagratis, which are creatures in a constant state of sexual excitement.  They are dangerous to themselves and others.  They have to be sent into confinement. 

When Rina Daniels is captured and converted, Kandos feels responsible.  He should have protected her better when she came to visit his planet.  She was taken for medical treatment immediately after being given the drug, however, it is not known if this treatment is successful.  She also was given a beautiful aquamarine pendant to wear. Aquamarines are known to suppress the constant sexual urges.

Rina and Kandos share an attraction for each other, an attraction that has never been acted upon.  Knowing that she has to be sent away, Rina wants to take advantage of what little time that they have left.  She and Kandos manage to take advantage of this time quite well.  Strangely enough, she finds that she only has sexual urges for Kandos.  Perhaps he can help her overcome this affliction.

“Cadari Lover” is a fun, erotic story.  It is amazing how much the author Cara Carnes can cause to happen in seventy-five pages.  I really enjoyed the fact that the hero and heroine have real feelings for each other.  I think that this gives the erotic scenes much more depth.  The intimate moments between these two characters will definitely hold the reader captive.  They are very well written.  “Cadari Lover” will definitely be enjoyed by all fans of sci-fi erotica.
