This very interesting book was informative and hilarious from the first page to the last.
I had to laugh as I read the question, “Can men change after marriage?” The answer was not simple, as this 203-page volume explains.

A comprehensive look at Men and Women, Love and Marriage, the things to do and (even better) what not to do. What you should say to her when she asks, “Does this make me look fat?” Mr. Brown outdid himself in this complete guide for the married man. From facts like, “Men are promiscuous” to “Placing a bottle of water on the night stand,” Mr. Brown runs the gamut of helpful hints for men.

I could definitely relate to Robert when he told of visiting the coffee houses in Detroit during his college years. I happened to have visited the same ones and could immediately identify with what he was saying. The turtlenecks, moustache, shades and jeans were the uniform of the day back then and Robert brought it back so vividly.

He throws caution to the wind when he speaks of the old days and how dinner was always on the table at a certain time. He goes further and explains that his mother always had dinner on the table when his father got home. Such was not the case in his household. Robert’s wife takes her time picking out a menu the day before, then goes to a variety of different stores to pick up the things she needs. But when he gets home, dinner is still not ready on time, or any given time.

Any man, no matter what his married situation, will find something of value in this funny book.  Mr. Brown tells it like it is and although he may poke a little fun at it, he speaks the truth. This educational volume was a book that I just could not put down. Just when I thought it would be a bit boring, he would strike a familiar chord.

I loved “Things I Learned From My Wife” and could not find a mark higher than A+.
