Living with Animals: Hardy’s Justice
Hardy Johns is a well-known and loved local, small town veterinarian. In his daily practice he takes care of all types of animals and all types of problems. What he doesn’t understand or will not tolerate is cruelty to any animal. He has had enough of some of the locals and their ways. Unbeknownst to his son who works with him, he has a small group of dedicated individuals who will help him take care of those who are not kind to animals. Frustrated that he cannot save all animals, he is a one-man stand against those in town who make it a habit of killing or maiming un-fearing animals. With night missions, he and his group rescue animals shoot guards with tranquilizer guns and transfer the rescued animals to other states where they will be taken care of. While the local sheriff gets tips on what is going on with the rescues, he turns a blind eye to Johns’ doings. He is made out to be a hero and certainly will win the next election. However, he does make it known to Johns that he knows what he is doing. “Living with Animals: Hardy’s Justice” by Nellis C. Boyer grabs you right at the beginning with a grisly scene of a border collie being abused, and Johns takes aim and kills the sadist man – and afterwards sets his house on fire. This book is action-packed till the very last page. |
